Overview

Following the great success and feedback from the large FC1, Pilot-RC have continued their collaboration with Ralph & Enrico from Elster Jet to produce a smaller, more everyday and convenient version, a medium size FC1 for optimum 3D performance.

Features:

• Extremely lightweight full composite construction especially designed for outstanding 3D performance
• Painted outside the mold so no seam lines
• Ultra strong and light weight landing gear mounts, with factory installed blind nuts so mounting is just plug and play
• Specially designed easy access to turbine for speedy installation
• Field setup can be done in seconds, thanks to the quick releases on the wings without the need for any tools, and the single elevator bolt accessed from the side
• Removable wing and elevator for easy transport

Please note that the FC1 is designed specifically for aerobatics and 3D vectored flight, with light weight being key. It is not designed to be used as a full power, high speed race plane.

• Complete air frame (including carbon wing-tubes and preinstalled and painted fibreglass control horns)
• Servo extension leads
• Vector thrust pipe
• 3.600ml fuel tank (optional upgrade to fuel bag)
• 250ml UAT tank
• Pre-prepared pushrods with ball links

Required Hardware (Sold Separately):

Turbine size:

• 120-200N for normal sport flying
• 200-240N for 3D vector flight – Avoid high speed, high G flying

Servos:

Total x10 (x7 standard size + x3 medium size)

• x7 standard size high torque
• x2 for flaps (minimum 40kg) x1 for rudder (minimum 40kg)
• x2 for elevators (minimum 28kg) x2 for vector rudder/elevator (minimum 28kg)

• x3 medium size servo (size: 35 x 15 x 30mm)
• x2 for ailerons (minimum 16kg)
• x1 for steering (minimum 16kg)

Also requires all the usual accessories such as transmitter, receiver, batteries, powerbox and possibly other small accessories.

Servos: Pilot-RC PW48AH for flaps and rudder and vector and elevator

Servos: Pilot-RC PW21AH for ailerons , steering

Servo arms: Pilot-RC 1.6in, 1.2in and 0.8in Aluminium arms (included with Pilot-RC servos)

Flap: Maximum available

Aileron: 15mm up / 15mm down (measured at the wing tip)

Rudder: 43mm left / 43mm right

Elevator: 38mm up / 38mm down (measured from the tip at trailing edge of the elevator)

*Please note that the correct “centre” position for the elevator is not when it is level

Centre Of Gravity:

Vector and Gyro:

Elster Jet recommend the use of the gyro systems by Powerbox-Systems. These offer two banks, each with individually programmable settings.
